Our tight-knit team provides a sense of community and we pride ourselves on providing a family atmosphere. Our mission is to provide a space where children are happy and feel a sense of belonging, where parents can also feel at ease leaving their children in our care and can comfortably communicate their expectations, fears, and hopes and be heard.

Our Joeys Room provides an environment committed
to expanding perspectives through experience,
understanding and relationships.
Our Joeys Room provides a world where our children begin to explore the processes of learning more than just the result of learning. At the age of 1-3 years old, we can expect our children to have a developing awareness of self, as well as, a developing curiosity about the wider community. This developing curiosity, allows our children to observe the learning opportunities and instances of wonder in their broader world.
Within our pre-kindy room, we are noticing a strong social connection between the children. These connections lead to the sharing of perspectives and the shaping of new understandings. This is an important realisation to consider for this age in developmentm and we build our environments to support this social exploration.
Our Joeys room provides an opportunity for our children to explore long-term investigation. Through instilling a sense of curiosity and wonder, we have in our midst, extremely capable learners. Learners are more than ready to examine the world around them more intimately.
Joeys Room
3 years+
Our Kangaroos room provides an environment of inspired, child-directed investigation, explanation and actuation.
This room is the final preschool room before children graduate to school and
is the room where we encourage children to refine their views of themselves
and instil in them a sense of wonder and natural curiosity.
Within this room, we strive to show the children a world of investigation without barriers. We want our children to ask questions, to disagree, to discuss and be open to multiple perspectives. At this stage of a child’s development, we can begin to introduce concepts and theories, processes and cycles.
The possibility of deeper comprehension begins to reveal itself at this point of a child’s development and it is the responsibility of the educator to ensure that curiosity is nurtured so that it may continue to grow. We see our preschool room as a learning community. Our educators are a large part of this community; however, they remain only a part of it.
Our Kangaroos Room also helps the children to establish a social confidence that they can take with them to school. It is the aim of our educators to ensure that our children graduate with the surety of self that will enable them to explore new friendships, impact their new environments and remain active in their ongoing development.
Throughout their journey, our educators have recognised that children are capable learners. At this age, our educators want the children to recognise this and take it with them to a new learning environment.

PHILOSOPHY
Our environment consists of two
indoor classrooms and a large outdoor
area. Each room caters for up to 20
children divided into age groups, that
is, the Junior Preschool room (Joeys) and the Preschool room (Kangaroos).
