Staff Spotlight: Kangaroos Educational Leader – Kylie
Meet Kylie, she is the Kangaroo’s Educational Leader
Tell us about your career background:
I have come from a creative fashion industry where I owned my own fashion label for ten years, as I worked along a retail store called Dangerfield. In between my fashion role I also ran events- fashion parades and in store launch parties. This lead me to work as a event planner for a year before making a huge career change into Early Childhood. I have always loved children and being creative which I though go hand in hand into early childhood
Learning from the children and seeing them grow. Each child has their own personality which develops over time, I feel honored to be part of their child development. I love being creative with them and extending their learning, whether it is spontaneous, intentional, or child-centered. Seeing the children happy makes my day as I plan meaningful and fun interactive activities for them to play and learn from.
Tell us about your room:
My room is inviting and open as the children are free to choose the play area they like. I also offer a structured learning with planned routines and school readiness. I believe that each child learns differently, which is why I provide various learning areas where the child can be strategic and constructive thinkers, creative learners, imaginative players, explorers and social beings.
What makes Bronte Kids special?
I enjoy spending time with my husband, going to see live music, movies, going out for dinner or cooking at home. I especially enjoy travelling around the world and fashion.
